A Perfect Start at Denbies

Another Tee & Torque event, and another reminder of why this community continues to grow from strength to strength.
We kicked things off bright and early at the stunning Denbies Wine Estate. Set against the rolling Surrey hills, it was the perfect backdrop for a morning filled with great cars, great people, and crucially, great coffee and bacon sandwiches. A big thank you to the Denbies team for opening up early and looking after us so well.

A Line-Up to Remember

The car park didn’t disappoint. A sea of Porsche 911s (as always) dominated the lineup, with everything from the iconic 996 right through to the latest 992 on display. Alongside them sat some real head-turners, including a striking Corvette C8 and a pair of McLarens that drew plenty of attention; the raw and aggressive 600LT, and its even more formidable sibling, the 675LT.

The Convoy Drive

After a quick briefing, it was time to hit the road. Our convoy drive, once again powered by New Roads, the world’s first AI Road trip planner, delivered in style. Twisting roads, sweeping scenery, and just the right amount of technical challenge gave everyone the perfect opportunity to enjoy their cars.

Arrival at Burhill

Our destination was Burhill Golf Club, and from the moment we drove in, it was clear we were in for something special. A spectacular clubhouse set the tone, and we were welcomed into a beautiful dining room reserved exclusively for Tee & Torque. Hot drinks and bacon rolls were flowing, setting everyone up nicely for the day ahead.

A True Test on the Greens

Out on the course, conditions were superb. Bathed in sunshine, the course looked immaculate, but the fast greens and subtle breaks proved a real test for even the most seasoned players.

Results on the Day

Winner – Matt Morrison (37 points)
2nd Place – Tom Reid (35 points)
3rd Place – Ollie Frost (34 points)

It’s not often that 1 under handicap takes the win, which says everything about just how quick those greens were on the day.

On-Course Competitions

Nearest the Pin (Hole 6) – Jason Brightman
Nearest the Pin (Hole 16) – Duncan Tyler
Longest Drive (Hole 14) – Fin Potter

Back in the Clubhouse

After the final putts dropped, we regrouped in the clubhouse for a well-earned drink and the chance to reflect on another fantastic day.

A delicious two-course meal followed, during which our sponsor for the day, Martin Potter of Potter Financial Partners, said a few words. A huge thank you to Martin and his team for their continued support, it genuinely makes a difference to what we’re building.

Looking Ahead

More than anything, it was another hugely successful Tee & Torque day. It’s always great to see so many familiar faces, alongside new members who quickly feel part of the community and are already looking forward to the next event. We’re incredibly proud of what this group is becoming and grateful to everyone who continues to support and grow it.

Next up, we head to Porsche High Wycombe and Frilford Heath on June 25th. You can sign up now via our website.

We can’t wait to see you there.
