Another month, another unforgettable Tee & Torque event, and this one had everything. Stunning cars, glorious golf, scorching sunshine and, of course, the inevitable tractor holding up the convoy…
We kicked things off at Porsche Centre High Wycombe, and what a venue it proved to be. The showroom was hugely impressive, packed with exceptional machinery and backed up by an equally exceptional level of service from the team. From the moment the Tee & Torque community arrived, we were looked after brilliantly with fresh pastries, hot drinks and breakfast goodies while everyone admired the incredible stock on display.
A particularly classy touch came in the form of some beautiful Porsche branded Titleist Pro V1s gifted to attendees, although after seeing them, most of us agreed they looked far too good to actually put into play and risk losing somewhere deep in the Oxfordshire rough!
After the usual tyre kicking, coffee drinking and catching up, it was time to hit the road. Thanks to New Roads, the convoy route through the Oxfordshire countryside was absolutely superb, taking us along some of the best driving roads the area has to offer. Rolling countryside, sweeping bends and postcard-worthy English villages made for an unforgettable drive. Naturally, no Tee & Torque convoy would be complete without ending up stuck behind a tractor at some point… honestly, how does that keep happening?!
Arriving at Frilford Heath, we fuelled up with bacon rolls before a quick welcome briefing and run through of the day’s format. Then came the small matter of tackling 18 holes in 38-degree heat! Thankfully, there was at least a slight breeze as we took on the famed Red Course, a layout that proved every bit as stunning as its reputation suggests. The course was in phenomenal condition and visually one of the best we’ve played, but stray too far offline and the heather was absolutely ruthless. Plenty of golf balls and scorecards suffered as a result!
Despite the brutal conditions, there were still some impressive performances out there.

After the golf, everyone enjoyed a very well-earned drink and post-round meal while reliving the highs, lows and near misses from the day. What made this event particularly special for us was seeing just how far the Tee & Torque community and footprint has already grown. To be hosting such a well-attended event in Oxfordshire less than a year after launching in Sussex is something we’re hugely proud of, and it was great to see so many new faces joining the community once again.
Next up, we head back to where it all began at Mannings Heath this July, with a pre-golf car meet at Fuel Road House. Sign-ups for this one are already flooding in, with more than 20 members confirmed at the time of writing.
Safe to say, we can’t wait.
