How do I secure my place at an upcoming event?
All scheduled events are advertised in our upcoming events page and available for purchase directly through the website. Spaces at each event will go live from the date shown on the specific event page, with members receiving early bird access. Where event spaces are limited, the number of remaining spaces available will be shown and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. You can see all events where you have secured a place in your account page.
What are the different event types and what does this mean for me?
Tee & Torque events are categorised as either ‘community’, ‘open’ or ‘member’.
Community events are free events open to all, for example a car meet, which we may organise spontaneously during the year when we see a good opportunity to bring the community together for some fun!
Member events are exclusive to those who have subscribed to a paid Tee & Torque membership. See membership page for full details.
Open events are paid events where anyone can attend. These are great opportunities for us to grow the community and for members to bring friends and earn referral discounts.
Can I purchase more than 1 space at each event?
Each person can only secure 1 space at each event, therefore if you want to attend with a partner or friend(s), please ask them to sign-up for the chosen event(s) themselves directly on the website. This ensures fairness and that we capture all required information from each attendee upfront to support both the organisation in the lead up to the event and smooth running on the day.
What sort of cars will be on show?
Check out our event gallery page to see what’s been to our events before. It is our ambition to bring together some of the best cars in the region, whose owners share a passion for both their cars and the game of golf. We would love to see a variety of cars on show, from the latest supercars, to modern and older classics. If your car has performance, pedigree or panache we would love you to bring it along!
Do I need to sign-up to the community with a car and are there model restrictions on which cars can attend events?
We recognise and appreciate that not everyone will have a car they consider suitable for our events, and attendees may look to travel to events together. Therefore, there are currently no restrictions or entry requirements in this regard, and when signing up to join the community, there is the option to not enter a car. We will review this policy on an ongoing basis to ensure each event continues to align with our vision and live up to the expectations of attendees.
How do I make payment?
To confirm your order, complete your payment via the checkout page. We accept credit and debit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Your space at an event is only confirmed when you have completed payment.
What if I can no longer attend?
Please let us know as soon as possible and we will endeavour to explore options on a case-by-case basis with the specific venue in terms of refunds, however we cannot guarantee this.
Can I hire a buggy?
When purchasing a place at an event, the option to request a buggy is provided. We will then liaise with the golf club for that event on your behalf and confirm if this is something they can provide, on a first-come first-served basis, subject to availability. This will come at an additional cost to you, payable on the day directly to the golf club.
Is there a dress code?
Different golf clubs will have different rules, and we will specify these in each of the official event brochures, but please ensure you bring appropriate clothing for both the golf course and clubhouse areas.
Do I need an official handicap?
No, we welcome players of all levels, so if you don’t have an official handicap, please provide a handicap which accurately reflects your ability to ensure a fair competition which can be enjoyed by all. We are happy to discuss this with you.
Where do we meet on the day of an event?
We will specify the car meet location for each event on the website events page and in the official event brochure. There will also be the option to meet directly at the golf course, if that is preferred.
Can I meet at the course directly?
Whilst we encourage all attendees to arrive for the car meet and convoy drive, if for whatever reason this isn’t convenient, please notify us in advance and we will meet you at the golf club.
Can I sign up to an event on my own?
Yes of course, there is no requirement to sign up with a playing partner or team. We will allocate individuals into teams accordingly.
How are the golf teams allocated?
Whilst we will endeavour to accommodate all playing partner requests, this may not always be possible. We will allocate teams based on handicap to ensure suitability and a fair spread across the teams, enhancing the competition!
How does the Live Leaderboard work during the golf day?
We have a paid for gold subscription on the GolfGameBook app (available on Android and Apple devices) which allows us to run multiple competitions all on a live leaderboard which ramps up the engagement and excitement levels! Event brochures will include everything you need to know about how to download and ensure you are set up in the app for the event. If you have any issues in doing this in advance, don’t worry, we will be happy to help you get set up on the day.
What competitions will be running at the event?
This will be outlined fully in the official event brochure. As standard, our events will run individual and team competitions, longest drive and nearest the pins. We also recognise the lowest individual gross round on the day and the “longest drive” someone had to attend the event!
What prizes are on offer at the event?
A variety of golf related goodies, from boxes of balls to other golf accessories and clothing. The more players we have attending events, the better the prizes we can fund!
What if I am a member of the golf course where an event is being held?
Please let us know and we will liaise with the venue to confirm a reduced entry fee for you discounting the green fee element.
Is my event entry fee reduced if I have a County Card?
Please reach out to us and we will discuss with the venue to confirm. However, from our experience the society packages we are able to offer are often more competitive than the County Card rates.
Can I just turn up to the car meet?
Whilst ultimately our ambition is to grow a community of people who share passions for both cars and golf, we do welcome attendees to the car meet only, free of charge. Please reach out directly if you are planning on attending a car meet so we can plan for accurate numbers on the day.
