Tee & Torque days just seem to have everything! Great cars, brilliant people, a memorable drive and a golf course that provides a proper test. Our latest gathering at Caffeine & Machine + Cowdray Park Golf Club had all of the above, once again!
With 22 golfers joining us for the day and an incredible variety of cars on show, it was another fantastic reminder of just how quickly the Tee & Torque community is growing. It was brilliant to welcome five new faces to their first Tee & Torque event, and to be able to host our third event in Sussex in the space of just 5 weeks, with between 22 and 26 attendees at each, is a real sign of the depth and enthusiasm within the group.
Starting with Caffeine & Machine

We kicked things off at Caffeine & Machine, where the cars began arriving ahead of our convoy towards Cowdray. The weather had other ideas, with a few showers making an appearance during the car meet, but it certainly didn’t dampen spirits. If anything, it gave us the perfect excuse to spend a little more time inside, soaking up the automotive-themed surroundings and enjoying some very tasty sausage rolls before hitting the road.
And what a collection of cars we had. From a BMW X5 M60i performance SUV and highly tuned Mazda RX-7, through to a brand-new Ferrari 296 and the usual smattering of 911s, the variety was exactly what we’ve come to love about Tee & Torque events. No two cars are ever quite the same, and that’s a huge part of what makes the community so much fun.
The Road to Cowdray

With coffees finished, cars warmed up and everyone briefed on the convoy drive rules, it was time to head to Cowdray. The glorious A272 was everything we’d hoped for, with a fantastic mix of cars making the most of the epic driving roads and the beautiful Sussex countryside. With the roads still wet in places, it definitely made for a few squeaky-bum moments, particularly in the 830bhp Ferrari 296!
As always, our brilliant content team were on hand to capture the cars as they made their way towards Cowdray, grabbing some fantastic rolling shots along the route. It’s one of our favourite parts of these days; seeing the cars out on the road together is a spectacle in itself, and having the footage and photography to remember it afterwards makes it even better.
As the convoy rolled into the club and the cars began lining up in our reserved parking area outside the clubhouse, it made for quite a sight. There were plenty of admiring looks from other visitors, and for a few moments the car park felt more like a mini automotive gathering than a golf club.
Golf at Cowdray Park

Once everyone had parked up, we headed inside for bacon rolls and coffee before getting ready for the golf. Our usual goodie bags were handed out, complete with Tee & Torque logo balls, tees and complimentary St Andrews Bakery Golf Balls snacks for everyone. It’s these little touches and attention to detail that we’re really proud of at Tee & Torque and hopefully they help make the day feel like more than just another round of golf.
After a short briefing, everyone headed out to make use of the Cowdray practice facilities and get warmed up before the first tee. Cowdray Park was, as always, in fantastic condition. It’s such an interesting layout, with plenty of variety throughout the round and some beautiful views across the surrounding countryside. Just like last year, everyone was hugely complimentary about the course. And with Cowdray providing a genuinely challenging golfing test, there was some seriously impressive golf out there.
A Round to Remember

The individual competition produced a particularly impressive winner. Despite having received a three-shot handicap cut from the previous event, Matt Morrison somehow managed to go even better, playing the round of his life. Matt carded an incredible 17 pars, with just one blemish on the 17th. Even more agonisingly, he lipped out for par on the hole. But it didn’t matter, his remarkable 42 points was never going to be beaten.
Raj Rupani took second place with a very solid 37 points, narrowly beating Matt Brewer, who finished third with 36 points.
The team competition was equally impressive, with Long Iron Drills with Mills taking the honours. Jeff Mills, Jack Whitford, Jacob Gwilliam and Gary Howard combined for a fantastic -19 under in the two-ball better-ball format.

The Other Winners
There were plenty of other prizes to play for too.
Nearest the Pin – Hole 11: Jack Whitford
A tricky 90-yard hole, but Jack held his nerve to take the prize.
Nearest the Pin – Hole 17: Matt Torrens
An absolutely incredible shot from 170 yards, with Matt somehow sticking it to just a foot. His playing partners were quick to point out that it took the unconventional route, but we’re not sure that matters when you’re that close!
Longest Drive – Hole 8: Lee Farrant
Keeping it under the wind on the par 5, Lee managed to sneak one out there and take the longest drive prize.
All of our winners went home with a piece of Tee & Torque branded merchandise, including our new embroidered polo shirt, which went down very well.
Pie, Pints & One Last Look at the Cars
After a competitive afternoon on the course, we wrapped things up with a very tasty meal. Once again, the Cowdray Steak & Ale pie went down a treat, providing the perfect way to finish a long day of driving, golf and plenty of laughs before everyone headed back out to the cars for the journey home.
Another Sign of What’s to Come

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us. As always, we’re incredibly grateful for all the amazing feedback we’ve received following the event, and it’s particularly rewarding hearing such positive comments from those who joined us for their very first Tee & Torque event. The community is growing quickly, but more importantly, it’s growing with a brilliant mix of people who share the same passion for cars, golf and enjoying great experiences together.
And we’re not quite finished with 2026 yet. We now have just one golf day remaining this year at Brocket Hall, in collaboration with our partner Launch Insurance. We’re delighted to have already sold the event out, with members making the most of their £40 discount on the entry fee. It’s brilliant to see members recognising the value of the Tee & Torque membership and making the most of the benefits that come with it. Whilst memberships for 2026 are now closed, we’re looking forward to re-opening them again for 2027 towards the end of this year, and offering even more exclusive benefits and experiences!
That’s all for now. We’ll see you at Brocket Hall in a couple of weeks!
