What better way to bring the 2026 Tee & Torque golf season to a close than with an incredible day of cars, golf, sunshine and great company at one of the most spectacular venues on our calendar! Our season finale was held in collaboration with Tee & Torque partner Launch Insurance, and it proved to be a fitting way to round off what has been an incredible year for the community.
For those who may not know Launch Insurance, they are an insurance broker helping clients arrange cover across a range of personal and commercial insurance needs, with a particular understanding of the requirements that come with more specialist vehicles and circumstances. It has been fantastic to see several Tee & Torque members already take advantage of the relationship, with the feedback so far being excellent. It is exactly the sort of partnership we love building – one that provides genuine value to our members beyond the events themselves.
The Season Finale Started the Night Before…

With this being the final car meet and golf day of the season, a number of attendees decided that one day simply wasn’t enough and kicked things off with a pre-event evening social!
We arrived at the Premier Inn in a collection of cars that we’re fairly confident this particular hotel chain isn’t used to seeing! After a couple of swift pre-dinner drinks in the hotel’s rather appropriately named “Social Club”, it was time to head out for dinner, with our first ever Tee & Torque convoy walk replacing the usual Tee & Torque convoy drive on this occasion!
A short while later, eight of us arrived at the nearby Giggling Squid, where we enjoyed a fantastic meal and, as you’d expect, plenty of stories, laughs and good conversation. It was a great reminder of how much the community has developed over the course of the year, with people who first met through Tee & Torque now genuinely becoming good friends.
Brocket Hall Awaits

The next morning came around quickly as we made the short trip over to Brocket Hall. If you’ve never visited Brocket Hall, the arrival alone sets the tone. The drive in takes you past some seriously impressive properties before opening up into the spectacular surroundings of the Brocket Hall estate, with world-class golf and practice facilities waiting beyond.
We couldn’t have asked for better weather either. Gorgeous blue skies and warm September sunshine provided the perfect backdrop for what was to be our biggest car line-up of the year. And what a line-up it was. McLarens, a Maserati, an E46 M3 and no fewer than 13 Porsches filled the car park, including a stunning 930 Turbo and a gorgeous 718 Spyder with what has to be one of the best registration numbers we’ve seen all year – 718 PDK. We’re still wondering whether there should have been a prize for that alone!
Breakfast, Cars & New Faces

Once everyone had arrived and had a chance to admire the cars, it was time for breakfast. Brocket Hall put on an incredible spread, with a fantastic selection of pastries, breakfast rolls and a choice of hot and cold drinks. It was the perfect opportunity to fuel up, catch up with familiar faces and, perhaps most importantly, meet the people joining us for their first Tee & Torque event.
With 35 golfers in attendance, including an incredible 18 people joining for their first ever Tee & Torque experience, there was plenty of opportunity for introductions and conversation. Bringing together people who share a passion for cars and golf is, after all, what Tee & Torque is all about. Whether you’ve been to one event or have joined us throughout the season, there’s always something that gets the conversation started.
Time to Tee Off

With the format for the day and groupings announced, there was just enough time for a quick warm-up on Brocket Hall’s incredible driving range and short-game facilities before we headed towards the first tee.
For our season finale, we took on The Palmerston Course, and what a way to finish the golf season! The Palmerston is a stunning woodland layout, winding its way through mature trees and dramatic undulations. It makes fantastic use of the natural terrain, with tree-lined fairways, strategically positioned bunkers and undulating greens creating plenty to think about throughout the round.
We absolutely loved it. Having played The Melbourne Course with Launch Insurance last year, it was particularly interesting to experience the other side of the estate, and for us, The Palmerston just edged it.
Some Serious Scoring and a Few Battle Scars

There was certainly no shortage of impressive golf, with some big scores posted across the field.
The final individual leaderboard saw:
1st – Rick Hawkins – 43 points
2nd – Mark Kinally – 42 points
3rd – Scott Harvey – 38 points
Rick’s victory was made even more impressive by the fact that he also took home Longest Drive – both prizes coming on the debut of his brand new driver! Clearly, our partner Precision Golf knew what they were doing when they helped Rick with the new weapon, as this was his first victory of the entire year! The newfound swing speed and power off the tee was seemingly so significant that Rick had to spend the following day in A&E with kidney stones. We’ll let Rick share the full story another time… but we’re very pleased to report that Rick has now fully recovered!
Rick wasn’t the only one leaving Brocket Hall with a few battle scars, either. Our very own Ollie, founder of Tee & Torque, managed to get himself involved in a rather unfortunate, but admittedly hilarious, incident on the final hole of the final event of the year…
While playing the last, an errant fairway wood from Dirk came fizzing along the turf! Ollie attempted to do the sensible thing and get out of the way, only for the ball to strike him square on the foot. What followed was somewhat less sensible. In attempting to jump out of the way and save his foot, Ollie proceeded to lose his balance and fall backwards, landing flat on his arse! Fortunately, no serious damage was done, although it provided plenty of entertainment for Declan and Keith, the other two members of the four-ball. Quite the way to bring the season to a close!
Our other competition winners were:
Nearest the Pin – Hole 5: Dan Goodchild
Nearest the Pin – Hole 14: John Kallend
A huge congratulations to all of our winners and to everyone who battled their way around Palmerston!
BBQ & Prize Giving With A Gift From Jenson Button!

After golf, it was back to the patio area overlooking the stunning lake in front of the main house, for a well-earned post-round BBQ. Once again, Brocket Hall delivered, with a delicious selection of burgers, chicken and salmon served alongside potatoes, chips and salad. After a long round on such an undulating course, there weren’t too many complaints about having plenty of food waiting for us!
With everyone fed and suitably relaxed, it was time for the prize giving. There were some fantastic prizes up for grabs, including a particularly special Jenson Button signed bottle of Coachbuilt Whisky, courtesy of Josh at Arvelo. It was a great way to finish the day, although, judging by the conversations continuing around the patio, nobody seemed particularly keen for it to end!
Thank You to Our Partners

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the season finale such a success, starting with Scott and the team at Launch Insurance for helping organise the event and for being such a great Tee & Torque partner throughout the year.
We’d also like to say a big thank you to our sponsors on the day:
We’re hugely grateful for your support and for helping us make the day what it was. And, of course, a massive thank you to everyone who came along.
This Is What Tee & Torque Is All About

One of the best parts of the day ironically came after the event once we’d all got back home. The event group chat was absolutely buzzing with messages and feedback from a group of people who had clearly had a fantastic day sharing their passions with like-minded people.
Seeing those reactions is one of the most rewarding parts of building Tee & Torque. What started as an idea around bringing together people who love cars and golf has developed into something much bigger – a community where people arrive as strangers and leave having made genuine friendships. That’s exactly what we want Tee & Torque to be.
What’s Next?

While the golf season might now be over, 2026 isn’t quite finished yet! Our members exclusive Challenge the Road x Tee & Torque evening is just a week away, and we’re also working on a December Christmas social in London for our members, so there are still plenty of opportunities to get together before we officially call time on 2026.
Beyond that, we’re already deep into planning the 2027 calendar. And if you thought this year was good, we promise we’re working hard to make next year bigger, better and even more memorable. Stay tuned!
